A board of directors made up of Pearce parents and community volunteers direct all fundraising activities for the Pearce Excellence in Education Fund, and serve as the first round of approvals of requests for funding for specific programs, resources, and academic tools. The Pearce Local School Council then votes to approve the funds. This group is comprised of community members, teachers, and parents and is lead by the principal.
The J.J. Pearce Excellence in Education Fund is part of the RISD Excellence In Education Fund, which provides accounting and administrative services. All contributions to the J.J. Pearce High School Excellence in Education Fund will be used to support academic initiatives exclusively at Pearce.
